Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of the production team (circa 70 employees) and engagement and support to all to ensure the site continues to deliver and exceed factory and quality results at all times.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring achievement against production plan, production efficiency, equipment efficiency, direct labour costs and budget management.
- Responsible for manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, logistics, planning and production on the site.
- Manage the scheduling process to ensure that all production activity meets customer order and business requirements.
- Ensure all products meet customer specification and current legislation.
- Responsible for ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are met across the site and all Health & Safety rules and regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure labour resource is managed to achieve the requirements of the business.
- Manage yields in order to maximise profitability.
- Manage raw materials and finished stock levels to meet business requirements.
- Interpret financial information to make sound commercial judgements in line with expectations and to identify new opportunities to improve efficiencies and performance.
- Plan and measure resources to ensure that targets for production are met.
- Recruitment and selection of production staff ensuring a positive employee relations culture throughout the team, ensuring all staff are trained across each process to enable flexibility when required. Key Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of management in a Food Manufacturing environment.

- Excellent management/leadership and motivational skills.
- A strong communicator when dealing with Customer’s Technical manager of technical issues.
- Sound knowledge of food safety/H&S systems and legislation.
- Self-motivated, focused and able to work on own initiative.
- Able to ensure teams outputs meet required quality standards.
