Dave Whitehouse, Managing Director of Pure Staff, recently organised a doubles knockout golf competition at the Belfry Golf Club to be played throughout 2022. This year’s competition was the first for charity and was a huge success, with 32 teams competing for the £500 1st prize.
The tournament was played over 31 matches on the Brabazon course at the Belfry Golf Club throughout the year. We had a great turnout, and everyone enjoyed playing such a prestigious course, so thank you to the Belfry for that. The £100 entry fee per team went towards the fundraising total, while Pure Staff put up a £500 1st prize.
The final was last weekend, and we are excited to announce that the winner was Dave Whitehouse and his brother! They donated the £500 1st prize money to the Air Ambulance Service and raised £3,700. This amount took the total fundraising for the air ambulance service this year past £13,500.
We would like to congratulate Dave on his victory and his efforts to raise money for such a worthy cause. Dave will also be running the competition again next year with hopefully 64 teams and we are already looking forward to next year’s tournament.
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to this great cause.
About The Air Ambulance Service Charity
The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) is a registered charity in England and Wales that provides emergency medical services by helicopter. The charity operates a fleet of helicopters across the country, which are staffed by highly trained paramedics and doctors who provide life-saving treatment to patients before they reach the hospital.
TAAS provides rapid response in life-threatening situations and is often the first point of contact for people who have been seriously injured or fallen ill. Their helicopter crews are trained to deal with a variety of medical emergencies and they also work closely with the NHS and other emergency services to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Since its inception in 2002, TAAS has responded to over 45,000 emergencies and has helped save countless lives. The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations from the public to keep its vital service running.
Our Managing Director Dave Whitehouse knows first-hand how important the Air Ambulance Service is. He shared his inspiring story about how The Air Ambulance Service had saved his life after suffering from cardiac arrest. Now, Dave is on a mission to raise vital funds for the Air Ambulance Service so that they can continue their life-saving work.
If you would like to get involved and help the Air Ambulance Service, please consider supporting Dave’s fundraiser here. All proceeds raised will go to the Air Ambulance Service and it will be of great help to keep their vital services running.
