Pure Staff is delighted to have made a donation of £1,500 to Troop Aid, and we are very proud to support this incredible charity with all the fantastic work that they do for those in need.
The Pure Staff Foundation team had intended to provide this donation in May. However, our Managing Director, Dave, had a stay in hospital as his heart defibrillator went off. Dave is now well, but he wanted to be there in person to hand over the donation, which is why we had to delay the visit until he was better.
We hope it makes a real difference to those who receive help and support from Troop Aid, and we would encourage anyone interested in supporting Troop Aid’s incredible work to visit their website for more information.
About Troop Aid
Founded in 2006, Troop Aid is a UK-based charity which provides support for injured service personnel when they are admitted to a hospital in the UK or worldwide, wherever British troops may be serving. Its main aim is to ensure that no individual serving in the armed forces should suffer from a lack of support or resources when they have been injured while on active duty.
‘Grab Bags’ are an important part of this mission, providing essential items needed during times of crisis or difficulty. These basic essential emergency packs are filled with essential items that can help injured troops, containing clothing, toiletries and other basic essentials that may not be accessible otherwise.
Supporting Troop Aid
The Pure Staff Foundation team visited the charity’s premises in Solihull to make a donation and met the fantastic people who help run the organisation. Speaking after the visit, Managing Director of Pure Staff, Dave Whitehouse said: “We felt that it was important for us to make a direct contribution to such an amazing cause. It was great to see first-hand how passionate and dedicated the volunteers are about helping injured troops, and we’re proud to be able to support them in this way.”
The £1,500 donation from Pure Staff will go directly towards purchasing items for grab bags which will be sent out as part of Troop Aid’s emergency response packages. This is just one example of the charity’s work in providing essential support to injured British troops across the world.
We also received a kind letter from Troop Aid as a thank-you for our donation:
Supporting Troop Aid is easy as there are many ways to donate and show your support for the organization.
You can make a direct donation to the charity, either by making a one-off payment or setting up a regular donation. You can also sponsor an event, such as one of their annual fundraisers, or organise your own fundraising activities.
The charity is always grateful for donations of items that can be used to help out service personnel and veterans in need. The list includes everyday items such as toiletries and clothing. Simply book a clothes collection from Troop Aid, and they will come to collect any donation bags from your home, free of charge.
Troop Aid also welcomes volunteers who would like to lend their time and skills in order to help the charity continue to support British troops. There are volunteer opportunities available at both a national and regional level, with opportunities for helpers of all ages and experiences.
