Pure Staff has proudly donated £2,000 to the Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) and it was a pleasure to listen to how much time they have dedicated and all they do for the community. The donation will help the MLSS to continue its vital work of providing hot meals to those in need across the Midlands.
The Midland Langar Seva Society was founded in 2013 in Walsall by a group of volunteers who were inspired by the Sikh concept of langar, or “free kitchen”. The charity provides hot meals and essential supplies to anyone in need, regardless of race, religion or background.
Now serving over 16 cities in the UK, the charity delivers meals to various locations across the Midlands, including shelters, schools, day centres and hospitals. The Midland Langar Seva Society serves over 150,000 meals per month to those in need and the charity also runs a number of other initiatives, including a food bank and a clothes bank.
Speaking about the donation, Pure Staff Managing Director Dave Whitehouse said: “We are proud to be able to support the Midland Langar Seva Society with this donation. The work that they do is vital in helping to feed those who are most in need in our community. We hope that this contribution will help them to continue their important work.”
The MLSS is just one of many charities that Pure Staff has supported over the years. The foundation has also donated to other causes such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Air Ambulance UK, and Birmingham Central Foodbank.
